We are starting a track in Cincinnati for a lot of reasons but the single most important is that we want to ensure that there is a family friendly race track within a reasonable distance of where we live.
The greater Cincinnati area has been blessed with some great tracks in the past, notably Lawrenceburg Motorcycle Speedway, but with some tracks closing and the future of others in doubt we want to provide a way for youth to experience motorsports and rise through the ranks, for amateurs to experience motorsports, and for pros to show off their skills and give aspiring racers something to shoot for.
Why Cincinnati? That’s simple, we love Cincinnati and the Hamilton County Fairgrounds are within easy reach of a lot of racers who otherwise would have to travel a long way to get a chance to race.
It is important to us that everybody is welcome at Cincy Speedway and to that end we are working to make the track as welcoming as possible. That includes things like treating people with respect, accepting the referee’s decisions, not fighting, and really just acting like a well adjusted human being that cares about others.
You need a motorcycle or go kart that meets the requirements of one or more classes, safety gear, and a positive attitude.
It costs $10 to get into the track, which also gets you into the grandstands to watch the racing.
It costs $5 to get a wristband that allows access into the pit area. Entering the pit area also requires that you read and sign a waiver and, if you are a minor, that your parent or guardian read and sign an additional waiver. All racers and crew members will need to purchase a wristband.
It costs $20 per class to enter the races.
Thank you! Cincy Speedway is a non-profit corporation and we rely on donations and volunteer effort to make the speedway run. Head on over to the contact page and let us know what you’d like to do or just that you’d like to help and we’ll let you know the best way to get involved.
It is worth noting that very few activities are without risk, and motorsports carry some inherent risk. With that said, we work hard to make sure that everybody at Cincy Speedway is safe. We have an EMT on site for injuries and will be following the latest COVID guidance issued by the State of Ohio, Hamilton County, and the City of Cincinnati.
Come to a race! We love to see new faces and would love to welcome you. Walk around and ask questions, most of the racers love to talk about what they’re doing. Find somebody from the staff, when we aren’t working on track activities we would love to tell you all about getting in a kart or on a bike. We have deliberately designed our class structures to be beginner friendly, you won’t be racing against pros your first time out, you’ll be racing with other newcomers.
Most of all we would encourage you to give it a try. Racing is super fun and is really something the whole family can enjoy.
